Julie Potter

Mrs. Potter is one who is always willing to go over and beyond for her students and school. She spends hours volunteering as the co-sponsor of the DMS student council and Jr. Beta club. Both student volunteer organizations that do good deeds to help the community. She is one that always comes in early and stays late. Students know if the need a shoulder to cry on, a friendly smile or a high five she is there for them. During the covid19 pandemic when teachers were sent home Mrs. Potter reaches Out to her students through email, Google Meet and Google Classroom. She also took on technical details of compiling the staff video sent out to students through Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. When the Governor encouraged people to donate blood she was there ready to help. She just recently started a sharing library box for the community that shares more than books. In this box she has donated books, games, dog treats, face masks, puzzles and even cans of soup to help out anyone in the community. She can be found a couple times a week toting her basket of books and goodies to refill the box. When it comes to a teacher who gives her whole heart you can go wrong in choosing Julie Potter.
