Amy Hershman

Ms. Amy is a rare find in a teacher. Her heart and love goes into her work and her dedication is obvious with every child who is blessed to be in her classroom. She treats all the students with kindness and respect that they enjoy attending school and she makes learning fun. As a mother of five children and one being special needs I have never had a teacher that touched my heart so much, even three years later her dedication remains known. Many people have overlooked my child or not wanted to understand her… not Ms. Amy! She took the time and had patience and never gave up on her, she boosted her spirit and kept on encouraging her, showed her she was proud of every advancement, no matter how small, and made a huge breakthrough in that little girl that year. There are so many amazing teachers between my years in school and those of my children, but Ms. Amy is the one that will always stick with our family, as I’m sure she has with many others because of her apparent love for her job and every child she meets.
